Your pets happiness is our happiness
Based in Witham, Essex, ideal for commuters travelling by train, Champs offers homely daycare in a safe and secure cosy home suitable for well behaved small breeds. We also offer boarding for doggies that attend regular daycare, a friendly alternative to kennels.
Your doggy will become part of the family and enjoy their stay with other doggies including our very own friendly family dog. They’ll be exercised to meet their particular needs, walks along our local river and parks, days out (weather permitting), and of course they will get lots of love and attention.
Our garden offers little champs space to run around, sofas and dog beds for snoozing and there’s a wood burner for chilly days and nights, so you can go to work, on holiday or have a day out feeling guilt free safe in the knowledge your best friend is happy.
It is really important to us that your dog is happy and comfortable in our home and quality over quantity is key as we will only board a limited number of guests and ensure the grouping is appropriate.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
I knew my last name ‘Champ’ would one day come in useful!! I have years of experience with dogs and established Champs, a small and personal business in my home because of my lasting love of them and over the years knowing that anxious feeling only too well of not wanting to leave my own precious dogs home alone for a few hours or in kennels when going on holiday, begging trusted friends and family members to look after them so I didn’t go away unable to relax and enjoy myself worried my dog would be unhappy and anxious.
Working in office positions for many years landed me at home during the pandemic and it was then I decided to fulfil a lifelong dream of running my own business, one that will provide me with rewarding contentment with animals I adore and can care for, and knowing I can help others like me go on with their daily lives safe in the knowledge their pet pooch is being loved and treated as they would want it to be.
After much discussion, research, form filling and a house inspection I was thrilled to receive approval for an animal boarding establishment licence achieving the highest possible accreditation for a new business and I’m delighted to be up and running, and will never look back! And thanks to all our hard work we have since been rewarded with a 5* status during our annual licensing renewal.
